This house has stood for some seventy years — built in the traditional Kerala way, and furnished, room by room, in the teak this land is famous for.
It has always been a family home first. Generations have grown up under its roof, in the shade of its orchards, on the edge of a town the world knows for its forests. The wood was oiled, the gardens tended, the doors kept open.
We'd rather share this place slowly — with people who want to feel Nilambur, not just pass through it.
We could have let it become just another rental. Instead we've kept it as it was meant to be lived in: unhurried, green, and generous. When you stay, you're not checking into a hotel. You're being welcomed into a home.

The teak connection
The wood that named a town — and a home
Nilambur is where planted teak began. In 1844, the first teak plantation on earth was raised here at Conolly's Plot, and generations later "Nilambur Teak" became the first forest produce in India to earn a Geographical Indication.
That heritage lives in this house. The same prized wood shaped our furniture, our doors, our floors — which is why we simply call it Teak Town. To sit on this veranda is to sit inside Nilambur's oldest story.
